Describe observable behaviour
Explain what happened in plain language. Useful details can include what you saw or heard, what direction an incident moved, whether anyone appeared to need help and other directly observed facts.
Add the correct time and location
Choose the date and time of the incident and use the location where it happened. Accurate location information helps people understand whether multiple reports relate to the same area.
Add a photo when it is relevant
You can take or upload a photo if it helps document the incident. Avoid unrelated personal information, intimate imagery or material that puts somebody at additional risk.
What not to report
Do not submit a report solely because of somebody’s race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, clothing, language, accent or perceived immigration status. The service is for observable incidents and behaviour.
Emergencies and crimes in progress
If somebody is in immediate danger or a crime is in progress, call 999. Migrant Report is a community reporting and alert platform and does not replace the police or emergency services.
